UFC 122 - Marquardt vs Okami

This is a match-up for the next title shot at the middleweight division currently held by Anderson Silva. Whoever wins is the next challenger to the winner of next years Silva vs Belfort.
A lot of people don't think this event is not worth watching simply because these two guys are not exactly household names but if you look at the current middleweight division in the UFC, there are no other prospects qualified for a title shot. Sonnen should have gotten the 2nd title fight but won't be able to because of post-fight test related issues.
Marquardt already learned his lessons from the past and has clawed his way back into contention since the last defeat at the hands of Sonnen. Okami has also been performing well and supposedly the last man to beat Anderson Silva (via an illegal up-kick by Silva).
If Marquardt wants to be champion, he has to at least put his wrestling skills at the same level as Sonnen's and be quick to dart in and back out just like Frankie Edgar. I think those two skills should be the least requirement to have a chance at beating Silva.
Okami has improved in his wrestling too as we have seen with his fight against Mark Muñoz who is a great wrestler and a training partner of Silva.
This will be a close fight and could go to either Marquardt or Okami. I think whoever wins is definitely deserving to fight for the title, we just have to wait and see if Silva remains the king pin of middleweight or if a new king named Belfort will be waiting for the winner of this match.

Pacquiao vs Margarito

This is obviously not the best match-up as far as boxing fans go. But since Mayweather vs Pacquiao failed a lot of times and still doesn't look possible, this is supposedly the next best thing that boxing can offer.
Pacquiao and Margarito I think have different objectives and goals in this fight. For Pacquiao it's getting the 8th title, effectively surpassing his 7 championship on 7 different weight divisions. That's a huge feat and probably will stay long before any other boxer can accomplish the same.
For Margarito, it's mostly clearing up his name and reputation; or maybe it's about financial since practically no one wants to promote him due to some past issues.
Would this be a good fight? I think it is, unless Margarito becomes another Clottey. The other factor that should make this an exciting fight is because of the styles of both fighters, they like to bang it out which most (if not all) fans really love as opposed to the clinical style of Mayweather in moving around the ring too much to avoid getting damage and effectively makes it a boring fight to watch. But this proves another thing, we know now who really wants to fight and who keeps avoiding fight between Pacquaio and Mayweather.

Brothers listen

Just when you thought that site feedback and "contact us" sections are just there to make it look like any other site you'd be surprised that the owners actually take time to look into them and more importantly really send response to consumers. Well, that I can say based on experience.
Remember my last blog about how disappointing experience it was at Brothers Burger Makati branch? Yep, I didn't just write it on my blog, I actually wrote them and told them about it.
They have a great site as far as design is concerned and then I thought about writing to their feedback form.
I honestly didn't think I'd get a response from them but nevertheless I just wrote to them about my experience. At that time I would be content if they could just read it and use that to make the necessary decisions.
But they did more, one of the owners (I'm not gonna mention names here) actually sent me an email in response to my feedback.
The response was very professional and they took the feedback constructively which was great coming from a company the produces great products. Anyway, it was a nice email with them but I haven't been to their Makati branch to see if they improved (or at least live up to how Brothers burgers are supposed to be) but I sure hope they do.
So credits to the management of Brothers for taking time to listen and respond to consumer feedback.
